“Parallel Pines” looks into the quiet order of a working forest. Straight rows of pine rise from a dense carpet of rust-colored needles, their trunks forming a narrowing corridor that seems to stretch beyond the frame. Gathered branches trace a rough line through the center, hinting at the constant grooming of the land for straw and future timber. I composed this image to emphasize that almost architectural symmetry—the way repetition, color, and perspective turn a managed landscape into something hypnotic and contemplative. The path formed by these pines leads to my home in Alabama.
